About facebook

I came here today, the place I had abandoned, and for a reason: I can´t do THIS on Facebook! It´s not really a media for writing long stories, not like this it isn´t, so coming out here is kind of a manifesto of the relevance of having a blog! I feel I´m writing into the void when I´m here, I´m alone with my thoughts and it feels good!

Facebook - a strange place to be, yet a blessing for someone like me! Whereas many get irritated, I on the other hand love to see "what´s on people´s minds", as long as it´s not always the same thing. It´s also good for the human imperfect soul to every now and then read updates that are showing not only life´s ups, but also life´s downs. It is comforting to read that others have bad days and experiences as well, not only I. I like to comment, I love witty commenting, one worse than the other... that´s fun!! As I use to say, commenting is nice, witty is fun and connecting is great!

Nowadays my news feed is my most important source for new music and artists. I listen to what other people post and then find some that share my taste. You learn much by looking at pictures that your facebook friends post. A picture does tell more than thousand words! By subscribing to pages you get the latest news from sources you are interested in, and on the most different topics! On many pages you can interact and comment. If you want to learn new people, you join a group of your liking. You might find friends for life on those threads!  Being a book worm as well, I like the possibility to read and write book reviews. You can find all this on other web sites of course, which are probably even better, but to me it all being easy to overview and access is most important, so I stick to facebook.

The days of sending gifts and taking quizzes and such are past.  I´ve been an active Farmer and CityBuilder as well, but they don´t attract me anymore. They´re too time consuming. And as I like more to share thoughts and learn to know more people, than to game and read what others write, the decision to leave the games was simple. One thing I hardly ever do, although it would be a perfect forum for me, is chat. But maybe I will start doing that more, time will tell!
